The Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning is awarding the Child Care Services (CCS) Health and Safety Grant to all open, operating, and licensed Child Care Learning Centers (CCLCs) and Family Child Care Learning Homes (FCCLHs) who are currently serving children. This is funded by the American Rescue Plan Act which provided a total of $80 million to qualifying facilities in Georgia.
Qualifying facilities are awarded grants ranging from $5,000 – $40,000 depending on capacity that can be spent with qualifying vendors via ClassWallet. Since the CCS grant is for Health & Safety it must be used on qualified items or services. Here is a complete list of what is allowed and not allowed to purchase though the CCS grant.
One of those items is CPR & First Aid and Fire Safety Training, as long as it is through an approved vendor. As one of the only Safety Training ClassWallet vendors, First Response can train and certify your staff through your ClassWallet budget.
