Who We Serve
We offer CPR and First Aid, Fire Safety, AED, BLS, and Bloodborne Pathogens courses, and many of those courses have different options in order to be best suited to your industry. All courses meet state requirements for both Georgia and South Carolina.
Over the last 22 years, we have served many industries and have worked to over the years to tailor each class to be what is most important for each industry we serve. Including but not limited to childcare, elder care, BLS, private schools, summer camps, workplace, and more.
For childcare, our courses meet the requirements as outlined by Bright from the Start, SC Endeavors, the Georgia Fire Marshall, CDA Council, NAEYC, NECPA and more. Our classes also meet the requirements for private and public schools.
For senior care, we meet the requirements for assisted living, personal care homes, home health care and adult day care.
We are also privileged to partner with health care professionals such as dentists, doctors, and registered nurses with our BLS Course offerings.

Childcare Professionals
At First Response, we understand the importance of keeping children safe. That’s why we offer CPR, First Aid, and Fire Safety classes catered to childcare providers. These classes provide childcare providers with the knowledge and skills they need to respond effectively in an emergency situation. In our Fire Safety class, we discuss how to plan fire escape routes for childcare facilities, lesson plans to teach children about Fire Safety, and much more. By taking these classes, childcare providers can have the confidence they need to keep children safe in their care.

Elder Care Professionals
We understand that elder care can be a challenging and demanding but rewarding profession, and we want to do our part to help elder care professionals be prepared for any situation. We offer CPR, First Aid, and Fire Safety classes designed for the needs of elder care professionals. These classes are designed to provide elder care professionals with the skills and knowledge they need to effectively care for their residents under their care. In our CPR and First Aid class, we discuss topics like diabetes, stroke, seizures, and more. In the Fire Safety class we talk about evacuation plans for seniors, burn prevention and treatment, fire safety tools throughout an elder care facility, and other important topics. Our classes are an excellent way for elder care professionals to ensure that they are prepared to handle any emergency situation that may arise.

Private Schools
At First Response, we understand that private schools have a unique set of needs when it comes to CPR, First Aid, and AED training. That’s why we offer a tailored version of CPR and First Aid class designed specifically for private school staff and coaches. This class includes topics like how to use a tourniquet, food allergies, heat stroke, and other important topics school staff should be ready for. Our courses are tailored to fit the needs of private schools of all sizes, and our experienced instructors are experts in working with private school groups. Our classes will help your private school be prepared for any emergency you may face.

Licensed Health Care Professionals (Dentists, Doctors, Nurses, etc.)
BLS training is important for all medical professionals, including dentists, doctors, and nurses. BLS stands for Basic Life Support, and it is a set of skills and techniques that can be used to save a life in an emergency situation. BLS training covers CPR, AED use, and other lifesaving techniques. This is our highest level course we offer and is tailored for those in the health care industry. This training is vital for all medical professionals because it gives them the skills and confidence they need to save lives.

CPR, First Aid, and AED Classes for Church Staff and Members
Having church staff trained in CPR, First Aid, and AED can provide the church with a huge benefit in the event of an emergency. We partner with churches across Georgia and South Carolina to ensure that church staff members have the essential knowledge and training necessary for responding to medical emergencies. Working in a church is a great calling where you care primarily spirituality for your members, but knowing how to care for them physically is important as well.

Foster Care Parents and Agencys
We are pleased to offer CPR and First Aid Training for foster care parents. This training is designed to help foster care parents be better prepared to handle medical emergencies. We work with both foster care parents and agencies as a whole. The course will cover basic CPR techniques, as well as how to deal with choking and other common medical emergencies. We believe that this training is a valuable asset for foster care parents, and we are committed to serving you as well as you serve your foster care kids.
Foster care parents must meet the same CPR and First Aid requirements as childcare providers, but do not have to complete Fire Safety, although it is still a good idea for home safety.

Construction and Industrial Jobs
In this line of work injuries are very likely to happen on the job making industrial and construction workers the first on the scene to accidents and injuries, making it essential that they have the skills and knowledge to provide CPR, First Aid, and AED treatment. Our CPR, First Aid, and AED course meets OSHA requirements and provides workers with the skills they need to effectively respond to medical emergencies. The course covers topics such as how to assess an accident scene, how to provide CPR and First Aid treatment, and how to use an AED. In addition, the course includes hands-on training so that workers can practice their skills in a safe and controlled environment. By taking our course, workers will be better prepared to handle any medical emergency that they may encounter on the job.

Summer Camp (Retreat Facilities)
At First Response, we know that summer camp is a time for fun and exploration. But we also know that accidents can happen, and being prepared can make all the difference. That’s why we offer CPR, First Aid, and AED training for summer camps. Our programs are designed to give camp counselors the skills they need to respond quickly and effectively in an emergency. Many retreats have an AED on site. If yours does, we will discuss how to use it as well, give class participants a chance to get hands on practice. We work with all kinds of retreats, not just summer camps.

Sea Boat Captains
At sea, emergencies can happen quickly and without warning. That’s why it’s essential for sea boat captains to be prepared for anything. Our CPR and First Aid Training course gives captains the skills and knowledge they need to respond quickly and effectively in an emergency. The course covers a wide range of topics, from impaled objects like fishing hooks, drowning, heat stroke, and more. In addition, captains will learn how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED). By the end of the course, captains will have the confidence and ability to handle any medical emergency that might occur on their boat.
