CPR Training for Teachers
Anyone who has spent time around children knows that they are full of surprises. One minute they’re playing peacefully, and the next they’re running around like wild animals. This unpredictability is one of the things that makes children so special. However, it also means that teachers and other education staff need to be prepared for anything. Our training helps them to do just that. We cover everything from skinned knees to life-threatening allergic reactions. We also offer training on the most requested topics, such as asthma, juvenile diabetes, bleeding control, fractures, and more. With our help, educators can feel confident that they are prepared for whatever surprises their students might have in store.
At First Response, we believe people learn best when they are relaxed. Our engaging instructors strive to make the class informative and relevant for each unique audience. Practice makes perfect, so we have lots of manikins available to make sure everyone has adequate practice time to feel confident with the skills learned.
Our CPR and First aid course meets Bright From the Start requirements in Georgia and Endeavors guidelines in South Carolina, and our Fire Safety Classes meet Georgia State Fire Marshal’s Office and South Carolina Endeavors guidelines.
With over 22 years of experience, First Response knows how to tailor the training for your school staff.

What Certifications Do Education Professionals Need?
This depends on if your school has an AED on site. If you do, you are required to have all “Expected Users” of your AED trained in CPR, First Aid, and AED. We recommend you train everyone because the truth is you do not know who will be closest when the AED is needed.
CPR and First Aid Training is an important option for schools that do not have an AED on-site. Emergencies happen all too often and knowing what to do will make all the difference.
Here Are Our Options:
- CPR and First Aid for Child Care Partners
- CPR, First Aid, and AED
- Fire Safety for Child Care Partners
- This may not be expected for school staff, but would be helpful for at least some staff to take to help with fire safety for your school!
